The group calls itself Iwirati Tsawakana, word from the language Cocama Cocamilla indgena group belonging to the region of Loreto in Perpor Iwirati side designates what we call in Spanish forest , while the word Tsawa Cocama the cultural context, gives meaning to the soul or spirit, in the Cocama not conceived the idea that intangible element known as soul, but rather the belief of this people intended this term to the shadow that is cast by each individual when it is exposed to sunlight for Tsawa ahque the term also represents the word shadow, the kana terminacin is the plural used for any word but that is exclusive to men Cocamas, in short, the terms Iwirati Tsawakana means Spirits of the Forest, the expression we want to represent and synthesize our art.
